This Studio Art session will focus on imperfection in art. Wabi-sabi is a Japanese aesthetic that appreciates beauty that is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. We will be using Kintsugi, the art of visible mending, to create one-of-a-kind art that highlights and celebrates imperfections in our art rather than disguising it. Join us at the library for a relaxing afternoon of painting with acrylic on canvas and emphasizing our art with metallic gold. All supplies will be provided, but supplies are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. To guarantee a spot, please register at https://mcpl.us/event/wausau-studio-art-wabi-sabi-inspired/. For more information, call 715-261-7230.
