Gain the essential skills needed to confidently navigate close-quarters environments with our Room Clearing 101 course. Designed for armed citizens, home defenders, security personnel, and tactical professionals, this hands-on training will cover the fundamentals of room clearing, tactical movement, and real-world threat assessment.

This 3 Hour session is led by Dan Ticali (Ret. NYPD Warrants) Lead Instructor at ALM Tactics, who will provide step-by-step instruction on entry techniques, positioning, communication, and critical decision-making when clearing a room.

Course PRE-REQUISITE:

- Valid State ID/Drivers License

- Over 18 years old.

- No Felony Conviction

- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Instructor Bios:

Det. Dan Ticali (ret.) Dan Ticali is a 24-year NYPD veteran and retired Detective 2nd Grade. He served in anti-crime, narcotics, patrol, and major case narcotics units, making 1,000+ arrests and executing 2,000+ high-risk search warrants. He later joined the Federal HIDTA/tactical training unit, overseeing tactical training for the NYPD Detective Bureau. A New York State certified firearms instructor (pistol & rifle), he also holds a 5th-degree black belt in Goju Ryu Karate and black belts in Tae-Kwon-Do & Judo. He retired in March 2024 and continues his work as a law enforcement tactician.

Det. Liam Swords (ret.) Liam Swords is a retired NYPD detective with 25+ years of service and a U.S. Army infantry veteran. He spent nearly a decade in patrol and anti-crime before joining the Detective Bureau Gang Division, handling cases against gangs and executing hundreds of high-risk warrants. In 2011, he was awarded the NYPD Combat Cross, the department’s second-highest honor for an officer-involved shooting. In 2013, he became an instructor with the HIDTA/OCCB Tactical Training Unit, developing cutting-edge training in tactical medicine, vehicular CQB, and search warrant execution. He remains active in firearms and tactical training.
