About this Event

Did you know that many hate crimes and bias incidents go unreported?

Join the State Attorney’s Office of the 9th Judicial Circuit, the Peace and Justice Institute, and partners for a powerful 2-hour workshop designed to help us understand how hate crimes and bias incidents impact individuals and communities—and why reporting matters.

Participants will hear from law enforcement, the State Attorney’s Office, and victim advocacy professionals as we explore:

  • The difference between hate crimes, hate speech, and bias incidents
  • The impact of hate crimes and bias on individuals and communities
  • Why reporting matters and what happens when a report is made
  • How communities can respond in ways that are trauma-informed, community- centered, and restorative

Together, we can build safer, more informed, and more connected neighborhoods.
