Stronger Start for Foster Families

Foster, adoptive & kinship families are invited for kids’ activities, caregiver coffee, prayer, and school backpacks.
About this Event

We would love to welcome foster, adoptive, and kinship families to a special day designed to encourage, support, and celebrate you. Whether you're fostering, have adopted, are caring for a relative's child, or are supporting children in care, this gathering is an opportunity to connect with others who understand the journey and to be reminded that you are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Families can enjoy a relaxed and welcoming environment with fun activities for kids, meaningful connection with other caregivers, and a Caregiver Coffee & Prayer Corner where volunteers will be available to offer encouragement, prayer, and support.

Our heart is simply to create space for families to experience community, build relationships, and receive practical encouragement for the season they are in. We know the journey of caring for children can be filled with both joy and challenges, and we want you to know that at Lakeside we are cheering you on.

As an additional blessing, each registered child will receive a backpack filled with school supplies to help them start the new school year prepared and encouraged.

To help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, caregivers are asked to remain with and supervise their children throughout the event. Registration may be limited based on available space, supplies, and volunteer support.
