About this Event

Strong Start Playgroups 2026 - Francis Gregory Library

Strong Start DC Early Intervention Program (DC EIP) Community Playgroups are open to the public and available to families with children three years old and younger. Early intervention professionals facilitate playgroups and provide a child-interest driven environment for children to play and socially interact with their same age peers. Families can have conversations with developmental experts and learn about how to support their child’s development. If interested, families can complete developmental screenings with members from Strong Start’s child find team, access information about early intervention services, and/or receive assistance in making a referral to the Strong Start program if needed.

MUST sign in by 11:15am to participate in programming, but ideally by 11:00am when it starts.

Community playgroups are held monthly, on different days, at several DC Public Library locations. Please refer to this page to confirm playgroup dates, times, and locations. RSVP’s are requested for each playgroup session, but walk-ins are also welcome.

If you have questions or need help with an RSVP, please contact Kisha Lim by email at [email protected].
