Yes we’re back!!!!!! It’s been a hot minute since last year (yes that was the last time we did a workshop!)So to round out the dance year… and just in time for the RnR Jamboree we’re doing another fantastic fun Sunday afternoon of strolling (you’ll definitely get your steps up in these!)!!!!!
This time we’re doing two workshops! One for beginners and refresher and the other for those who want to up their strolling with some variations and styling. Details below.
1. Beginners and refresher…
Can’t stroll? Tried to stroll but can’t quite get the sequence? Did the last stroll workshop (or stroll class at the Jamboree a few months ago) but would like to refresh the basics again?
Then this is the workshop for you!!!! We have designed the workshop to cater for beginners and the those who want to refresh the basics!
We’ll be covering off the basics as well as 1 or 2 variations (time permitting)! And hopefully lots of strolling to practice!
2. Styling and variations or experienced…
You can already stroll… maybe know one or two variations.. would like to level up your strolling with some more variations?
Then this is the workshop for you!!! In this workshop we’ll cover 2 or 3 variations we haven’t covered before.
Times…
1:30-3.00pm Beginner/refresher
3.00-4.30pm Styling and variations
Class fees…
One workshop $25 (either beginners/refresher or styling and variations)
Both workshops $40 (20% saving if you do both!)
Location…
The venue is the same as before… Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, 11-13 Darley St, Newtown.
It’s a secure building so when you get there press the Gadigal room buzzer (we’ll the press the door release button) or the code 75192 followed by the arrow
The venue is about .5 block from King St… the Enmore/Sydney Park end of King St. Think behind the Botany View Hotel!
The venue has a fabulous wooden floor and… air conditioning!!!
Other details…
Don’t forget to bring a fan and water. There is a kitchenette there. And of course there are amenities.
Getting there…
Car… Last time street parking was ok, and it’s only a few steps from King St.
Public transport… it’s about 1 block from St Peter’s train station,p or a 5 minute walk from the Newtown train station. There are usually regular buses along King St, however would suggest you check timetables for both trains and buses.
