Exulansis ist das Gefühl, dass eine Erinnerung von einer Macht stammt, die dich bricht, bevor du sie aussprechen kannst. Ein inneres Ritual der Unterwerfung. Wenn du den Mund öffnest, spürst du, wie etwas in dir zupackt, als würde eine unsichtbare Hand deine Gedanken gegen den Schädel pressen.Jedes Wort, das du formen willst, wird dir im selben Moment abgerungen, verdreht, zerknickt. Es fühlt sich an, als würde die Erinnerung dich innerlich niederknien lassen, als wollte sie dir beweisen, dass sie stärker ist als dein Wille.

Exulansis is the feeling that a memory comes from a power that breaks you before you can express it. An inner ritual of submission. When you open your mouth, you feel something grab hold of you, as if an invisible hand were pressing your thoughts against your skull.
Every word you want to form is wrested from you at the same moment, twisted, crumpled. It feels as if the memory is forcing you to kneel down inside, as if it wants to prove to you that it is stronger than your will.
While you remain silent, you hear a hard, mocking rumbling deep inside you, not loud, but so relentless that you feel:
