Giribabu has achieved the RCSI fellowship and also has a special interest in health informatics, digital transformation and innovation to improve patient safety

Paper title: Vascular access devices for prolonged intravenous therapy regimens in people diagnosed with cancer.

Info: Presentation Title: Technologies, Training, & Techniques for Safer Intravenous Systemic Anticancer & Car-T-Cell Therapy for Clinicians in Cancer.

Michelle is a Nurse Lecturer at ATU St. Angela’s, Sligo, and a PhD candidate at the University of Galway. With over 25 years of clinical experience and a background as an Oncology Clinical Nurse Consultant, her research focuses on cancer care and nursing education - particularly enhancing the safety and quality of intravenous systemic anti-cancer therapy (IV SACT) and CAR T-cell therapy administration. She has recently published the scoping review she undertook in 2023 titled “Methods of Teaching Nurses IV SACT Administration: A Scoping Review,” contributing to the evidence base on oncology nursing education. Her PhD research will explore the role of technology, training, and techniques - especially simulation-based approaches - in supporting clinicians to deliver safer cancer treatments.
