Patrick & Daniel (Prom Date/Dark Wave Mixtape[s]) SECOND DJ NIGHT! We will be playing more cuts from our diverse collections - Spanning over 40 years of our deepest influences! NO COVER at MURPHY'S so make your plans NOW!!
The Motive: This shifts the focus from the "tape" to the human experience surrounding it. It may be a regular mixtape, but it is being looked at, remembered, or listened to "darkly"—through the lens of grief, cynicism, nostalgia, or doom.
FEELING: A deeply personal, melancholic celebration! It highlights the ideological belief that objects have no inherent meaning until we project our own internal darkness onto them.
