Spilling Ink collaborates with Phani Narayana Vadali in an exploration of harmony between classical South Indian music and dance traditions
About this Event

Spilling Ink is excited to bring Phani Narayana Vadali, one of India's foremost veena artists, to Washington, DC for a special program that is not to be missed. Spilling Ink co-artistic directors Vijay Palaparty and Nalini Prakash collaborate with him in an exploration of the harmony between classical South Indian music and dance traditions.

Join us for an intimate sharing of one of South India's oldest classical musical instruments, the veena. Phani Narayana will be accompanied on the mridangam by the accomplished percussionist Srikar Chittari.

Stay after the performance for a gathering of Spilling Ink family and friends to celebrate our 15th anniversary, as we mindfully exist with and emerge from the world’s conditions—in an effort to cultivate, nurture and rejoice in artistic and cultural expression.

We launch: SI.15: Rooted in tradition. Created with vision. Performed for transformation.
