Experience an evening of unforgettable traditional Irish music at the Gaelic League Irish American Club in Corktown! Join us for a concert celebrating the heart of Irish tradition, featuring three acclaimed performers whose artistry bridges Ireland and Detroit.
Hailing from County Mayo, Shane Mulchrone brings over two decades of mastery on the Irish tenor banjo, shaped by the vibrant musical traditions of Mayo and Sligo. Detroit’s own Michael Gavin, a seasoned multi-instrumentalist and member of Blackthorn, has shared stages with luminaries such as Liz Carroll and Kevin Burke. Rounding out the night is Shannon Lee—the duo of fiddler and vocalist Hannah Harris with guitarist and bodhrán player Alberto “Bear” Whitmer—whose lyrical fiddle lines and expressive accompaniment draw inspiration from their time along Ireland’s Shannon and Lee rivers.
Together, these remarkable musicians will fill the Gaelic League with tunes, songs, and stories that capture the warmth, wit, and spirit of Irish music.
