Our theme for this month’s meeting is 🌾 The Hidden Harvest: Trusting the Gardener with the Slow Work of Healing

Grief has a funny way of making us think we should be further along than we are.
“I shouldn’t still feel this way.”
“I thought I had already surrendered this.”
“Why does this still hurt?”
“Why am I still afraid?”
But maybe healing was never supposed to look like a perfectly manicured garden.
At our September Strings of Grace gathering, we’ll spend some time with Jesus’ Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds and the picture it gives us of a Gardener who sees far more than we do. He sees the weeds, yes—but He also sees the wheat. He sees what’s happening beneath the surface. He knows which roots have become tangled together, what needs tending, and what good things are quietly growing even when we can’t see them yet.
We’ll talk about the temptation to measure our healing by the things we wish we didn’t still feel—and what it might look like instead to trust the slow work of the Gardener.
And, as always, we’ll just have some time to be together.
We’ll have snacks, a simple craft, conversation, and a table full of women who understand. We’ll pray together, laugh together, and most likely shed a few tears somewhere along the way. There is no pressure to share, no expectation that you have the right words, and absolutely no requirement that you have any of this figured out.
Come exactly as you are.
Come if your loss was last month or many years ago. Come if you’re doing okay right now. Come if you’re really not. Come if you’ve been with us every month, and come if you’ve been watching from a distance trying to work up the courage to walk through the door.
There is a chair for you at this table.
Because maybe healing isn’t about finally reaching the day when there are no weeds left.
Maybe it’s learning to trust that the Gardener is still at work—and there is a harvest growing that we cannot see yet.
