Studio 324 Productions is proud to present its first double feature!
String Theory/Everyone Dies At The End is a joint presentation of two new plays by two emerging playwrights. Sharing stories of love, loss, and the inevitable navigation of life's complexities, these plays take a deep look at the faults in our human experience and the ways in which our connections shape our journeys.
About
String Theory is a new one-act play by Christina Healey. Lily thinks her soulmate is tied to her pinky by a little red string, and she'll stop at nothing to find them. Roger's not convinced, until he realizes Lily may be the one he's been looking for all along. As their lives twist and turn, these young lovers are forced to reckon with the consequences of their actions. Through it all, String Theory dares to ask: are we drawn together by destiny, or simply caught in the reality of our own making?
Everyone Dies At The End is a new one-act play by Parker Jenkins. With the end of the world just moments away, Freddy and Alex reflect on their past relationship on a Manhattan rooftop over a bottle of Scotch. Everyone will die at the end, but the end hasn't come yet. Well, it has -- just one ending. Reminiscing, whiskey, and imminent doom... What could bring two people closer together?
Please note both plays explore topics that some audiences may find distressing, including relationship violence, manipulation, self-harm, and abortion. Viewer discretion is advised. Recommended for audiences 14+.
