Stress Skills & Chat: Information Overload
Stress Skills & Chat is a series of interactive sessions that gently guides attendees through body reconnection, self-reflection and shared conversation to develop greater self-awareness and practical insight for navigating a modern life stress issue with more energy, resilience and balance. Sessions utilise evidence-informed coaching tools, stress education and holistic wellbeing skills to support individual and meaningful change.
In this session on information overload, we acknoweldge how modern life gives us access to more information than ever before. Emails, messages, social media, podcasts, news, notifcations, endless advice, endless opinions, and endless things to learn. While information can be helpful, too much can leave us feeling mentally overloaded, distracted, overhwemed and disconnected from ourselves.
What to expect
15 minutes – Mind-Body Reconnection Practice
A gentle guided practice to help you slow down, reconnect with your body and become more aware of your energy, activation level and mental state.
15 minutes – Reflective Journaling
A guided reflective exercise exploring your relationship with information, mental clutter and attention.
30 minutes - Open Chat
A supportive group conversation exploring:
- The impact of information overload on stress and wellbeing
- Why our brains struggle with constant input
- Common signs that we’re mentally overloaded
- Practical ways to create more clarity and focus
- Strategies to consume information more intentionally
You may leave with:
- Greater awareness of what is draining your mental energy
- Practical strategies to reduce overwhelm
- More clarity and focus
- A deeper connection with yourself
- A supportive space to reflect and learn alongside others
No experience necessary, aand there is no pressure to contribute to the discussion if you would prefer to listen and reflect.
