Strengthening Communication & Connection for Moms & Daughters

As girls grow up, it can feel more and more difficult for adults to connect with them. One day she’s bold and talkative, the next she’s distant and withdrawn. Between school stressors and social media pressures, she needs support to handle life’s challenges. Understandably, the communication gap between girls and adults can make being there for her in the ways that she needs a challenge. You deserve support, and so does she.

Join Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX) for a fun and empowering morning for female caregivers and girls, grades 6-8, to strengthen connection and communication.

With the guidance of a licensed counselor, girls will get to connect with other girls and talk about what it means to “find their voice." Meanwhile, adults will learn simple strategies for empowering and communicating with their girls. The experience will culminate in a self-defense workshop where girls and adults come together to learn the verbal and physical skills needed for threatening situations.
