About this Event
So'oh Shinálí Sister Projects invites community members and allies to come together to uplift the urgency and advocacy for stolen and missing relatives!
Join us for Strength in Our Stories: Igniting Community for MMIP Advocacy!
This free community event, will feature -
- Live art projection featuring the work of Indigenous published multidisciplinary artist, (Chichimeca and Apache)
- Keynote address by Morning Star Gali (Pit River Tribe) Founder and Executive Director of
- Performance by Indigenous women-led grassroots poetry collective, Subversive Verses
- Free Food and Coffee provided by Wildhorse Native Foods & Woodyz Coffee for the first 75 attendees & more!
- Community resources provided by United American Indian Involvement (UAII and Sacred Path Indigenous Wellness Center
The event will be MC'd by community member Walter Ahhaitty (Kiowa, Cherokee, Comanche)

Parking is always free at 4700 Western Heritage Way, directly in front of the Autry.
Traffic Alert
During weekends and summer months, the Zoo Drive exit from the I-5 can become extremely congested. As an alternative, exit at Los Feliz, turn left, and take a right at Crystal Springs Drive, which turns into Zoo Drive, or take the Griffith Park exit. The Autry will be on your right.
