About this Event
A 60-minute female only class focusing on resistance training and improving your power in a small friendly environment. The class will boost your metabolism and maximise your hormonal response to exercise at the correct level.
Each session will be an intimate class, no more than 5 participants, so you can focus on building strength, power and confidence while improving your technique and skill. The class is designed to develop greater overall strength, better mobility and keeping you moving freely. Becky will use timed intervals, circuits and many different resistance exercises to help you process and build up your bone density banks and maintain your declining power. The last 15 minutes of each session will be focused on mobility and range of motion in one of the body's major joints (hips, shoulders, ankles).
Each session will cater for all abilities so you can work at your own pace and Becky can adapt it to your needs to make the workout right for you.
From the age of 30 women loose 1.5% of their strength per year and power at 3.5% per year. Now is the time to start protecting yourself so that you can age better.
Becky is a mum of three kids currently aged 12, 10 & 8 living locally in South End Green. Before children she was Cabin Crew but the demands of motherhood made her change her career in 2012 to become a women’s’ fitness specialist personal trainer to help aid her passion for getting people moving.
She started by running outside buggyfit classes in both Primrose Hill & Regents Park which have been ongoing since 2017. She focuses on functional movement, while also creating bespoke exercise classes specifically for females (there is a notable difference from male training regimes). She has now expanded her areas of specialism to include ‘corrective exercise’: her expertise now also includes (as well as pre and post-natal), peri-menopause and functional training and the many benefits it gives us as we age.
Her mantra is: empowering women to rediscover fitness through exploring new ways of movement to unlock their body’s true potential, no matter what stage they are in, from pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopausal to menopause and beyond.
