STREET THEATRE PARADE

The International University Theatre Festival once again steps beyond traditional theatre spaces and invites the city itself to become a stage. Beginning in the Grand Courtyard of Vilnius University and continuing through the streets of the Old Town to Vilnius Theatre “Lėlė”, the Street Theatre Parade will bring together festival participants and theatre troupes from around the world in a vibrant procession filled with music, movement, improvisation, and theatrical energy.
Accompanied by members of the Vilnius University wind orchestra “Oktava”, the parade will transform familiar city spaces into an open-air performance route. Along the way, participants will stop at several iconic locations, including the House of the Signatories, Konstantinas Sirvydas Square, Town Hall Square, and Jonas Basanavičius Square, where theatre troupes will present short street performances and unexpected artistic interventions.
The Street Theatre Parade is an invitation to experience theatre beyond conventional stages and to celebrate creativity, diversity, and community in the heart of Vilnius. Whether you follow the entire route or simply encounter the procession along the way, you are warmly invited to join the journey and experience theatre here and now.

GATVĖS TEATRO EISENA
Režisierius Vytautas Kontrimas
Tarptautinis universitetų teatrų festivalis dar kartą išeina už tradicinių teatro erdvių ribų ir kviečia miestą tapti gyva scena. Nuo Vilniaus universiteto Didžiojo kiemo iki Vilniaus teatro „Lėlė“ nusidrieks spalvinga festivalio dalyvių ir teatrų trupių eisena, kupina muzikos, judesio, improvizacijos ir teatrinės energijos.
VU pučiamųjų orkestro „Oktava“ lydima eisena pavers Vilniaus senamiesčio gatves atvira scenos erdve. Pakeliui numatyti sustojimai prie Signatarų namų, Konstantino Sirvydo skvere, Rotušės aikštėje ir Jono Basanavičiaus aikštėje, kur festivalio trupės pristatys trumpus gatvės teatro pasirodymus ir netikėtas menines intervencijas.
Gatvės teatro eisena – tai kvietimas patirti teatrą netikėtose miesto erdvėse ir kartu švęsti kūrybiškumą, bendrystę bei tarptautinę universiteto teatrų bendruomenę. Nesvarbu, ar lydėsite eiseną viso maršruto metu, ar sutiksite ją atsitiktinai pakeliui – esate kviečiami prisijungti ir tapti šios gyvos šventės dalimi.
