This is the 1st ASIA LEVEL STREET LATIN FREESTYLE CHAMPIONSHIP3 different categories
This is a fixed partner freestyle competition. Meaning, you will sign up with a partner and will dance throughout at the same time with all other competing couples.
Amatuer – Dancing Salsa/Bachata for 2 years and below*
(2 years is a rough gauge for students who are relatively active in this 2 years. For students who have not been active or missing for many years and back for dancing, you can always contact us to gauge your eligibility)
Intermediate – Dancing Salsa/Bachata for above 2 years (no teachers and professional dancers allowed)
Open/Pro – Recommended for teachers and any experienced dancers
This competition aims to encourage dancers to dance and practice more. A perfect excuse for you to find a partner to polish your dance now
Regulation
- Pre-registration with fixed partner required.
All participants are required to purchase min - 1 night show party pass to participate in this competition
- 1 lead and 1 follow (can be any gender) to be fixed partner throughout the competition.
- All participants will dance at the same time on the dance floor to any Bachata/Salsa song chosen by the DJ
- There will be 2 preliminary rounds of 1.5 min each round. (For Bachata: 1st round will be sensual or remixed bachata, 2nd round will be authentic bachata song – i.e Romeo Santos, Dani J)
- There will be 2 final rounds of 1.5 min each round. (For Bachata: Song choice will be similar to preliminary rounds)
- No over shoulder lifts (female or male legs over each other’s shoulders)
- Dips and Minor Tricks are allow (as long as no over shoulder lifts) but judging will still be focus on your Bachata/Salsa dancing
