STREET / ART, PARK SLOPE: Art in Action walk

This walk visits dynamic hubs of creative action, and explores the soul of activist Brooklyn. It is led by artist Rich Garr, and begins at the new art exhibition at the Puffin Foundation's recently opened cultural space in the heart of Park Slope. Then we stroll south with mini-tours of institutions with dynamic and evolving activities: the Old Stone House, Interference Archive, 615 Green Community Garden & Open Source Gallery. They all have their own unique stories, and hosts at each place will offer their latest exploits. Each organization leverages creativity to forge powerful and unique bonds. This "collage of community" will emphasize old attacks on freedom that are sadly still alive. But we'll also emphasize the power of art and collective action. There is no shortage of either here!
