IUT ICT Fest 2024: Code Catalyst: Refactoring ContestAre you prepared to revolutionize software development through code refactoring? Join us for the Refactoring Revolution 2024, an electrifying event where you'll unleash your expertise in refactoring, debugging, and software optimization techniques!

Preliminary Round (April 18, 2024): Participate in the online preliminary round conducted through Google Form. Engage in MCQs and short questions on Java, OOP Concepts, and Design Patterns. Top 15 teams will advance to the on-site final round.
On-site Round (April 26–27, 2024): Experience the intensity of a 2-day on-site challenge at the designated venue. Refactor code live, tackle code smells, and implement design patterns to create optimized solutions.
Final presentations will be held on April 27, 2024, showcasing your refactored code to the judges.

Teams must comprise 2 to 3 members, with at most one graduate per team. Cross-university teams are permitted.
There is no registration fee for the online preliminary round. On-site registration fee is 1200 BDT per team.
Strict adherence to the provided GitHub repository for code refactoring. Any changes post-final submission will lead to disqualification.
Documentation acts as proof of originality; plagiarism will not be tolerated.
Maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect for all participants throughout the event.

Preliminary round selections are based on analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
On-site evaluations will include a mid-evaluation focusing on code smell detection and a final evaluation emphasizing fully refactored solutions with design pattern implementations.
Judges will assess presentations, code quality, and documentation for the final evaluation.
