Straw garden workshop

The traditional straw garden is a sort of reduced "model of the world", which has been used in Lithuanian folk customs for a long time. The garden was tied for weddings, christenings, and calendar festivals.

During the workshop, participants learn about the tradition of straw art, the significance of straw gardens, and the customs associated with them. After familiarising themselves with the materials needed to make straw gardens and learning how to prepare them, the participants make a traditional two-storey straw garden.
