Resource management (pieces, territory, cards, tempo, positioning—depending on the game)
Spatial reasoning (fit, block, and control space—especially in games like Blokus)
Basic probability and uncertainty (odds, outcomes, tradeoffs—especially in games like Risk)
Problem-solving and adaptation (recovering from mistakes, changing strategy as the board evolves)
Sportsmanship and emotional control (handling wins/losses, resilience, staying calm)
Communication and debate (explaining choices, comparing strategies, discussing what makes a game “good”)
Focus, patience, and attention to detail (slowing down, checking threats, avoiding simple blunders)
Class Format
Our camps are divided into blocks with breaks. We focus learning in the morning while everyone is fresh and encourage experimentation and project work in the afternoon.
There are breaks mid morning and mid afternoon as well as lunch.
Suggested age range: 11-15
