Robert Walker gives a mesmerizing performance as a peculiar man who meets tennis star Farley Granger on a train. Their casual banter turns to a discussion of strangers committing “exchange murders.” One is amused, but the other is serious. Featuring a screenplay co-written by Raymond Chandler, the film is based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith.
