FIT4MOM has teamed up with local children's authors to bring you Local Author Storytime in the Park!Join us at 10AM at Anderson Playground at the Kate Jackson center (under the trees behind the basketball court) for our Local Author Storytime at the Park Series!
? We will have free activities and storytime each week at 10AM during the months of July & August.

? This week's book: The Military Child Chronicles- MISSION:MY FIRST PCS
? About the Book: The Miltary Child Chronicles is a series written to serve as a resource for military families. The first story in the series is, MISSION: MY FIRST PCS. A young boy named, Atticus, learns that his family will be relocating over the summe also known as a Permanent Change of Station (PCS). For military familes, a PCS can create a vast amount of change and uncertainty. MISSION: MY FIRST PCS, beautifully illustrates the complex feelings and obstacles that Atticus experiences during the move. The book also features tips for parents to help create excitement about PCS for the family.
? About the Author: Athens E. Pellegrino grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey. She attended St. Joseph’s University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She met her husband Christopher while attending the university and married in 2009. After, she studied at Troy University and received a Master of Public Administration degree. Athens serves the United States Air Force as a Budget Analyst and military spouse. She has a love for travelling, cooking, dogs, and fitness.
Athens and Christopher have a son, Atticus (age 2) and daughter Callista (age 1). The family has experienced 7 Permanent Change of Station (PCS) assignments. The latest was 7 days after giving birth to Callista. Athens is intrigued by the strength and resiliency of military families, which led to her creation of the Military Child Chronicles series. The first book is, Mission: My First PCS.
