Join EMMY Award–winning host of Tab Time and multiple NAACP award winner, #1 New York Times bestselling author, and vegan food star Tabitha Brown in celebration of her first children’s book, HELLO THERE, SUNSHINE!
Inspired by Tabitha’s childhood adventures, HELLO THERE, SUNSHINE pays homage to the community and neighborhood that have influenced who Tabitha is today. With themes of kindness, curiosity, and joy, HELLO THERE, SUNSHINE follows young Tabitha, who wakes up ready to greet the sun but gets a little worried when she realizes it’s missing. Not one to dwell on the negative, Tabitha embarks on an adventure through her neighborhood, lending a helping hand and asking everyone if they’ve seen the big star. When the sun is still nowhere to be found, Tabitha remains positive, looks a little deeper, and finds the sun in the most unlikely place.
Event is sposored by BSAP (Black Student Achievement Program/LAUSD) and hosted by Malik Books. Family fun event is fun for the whole family. Lots of activities for the children. Free Food and other many giveaways and educational materials provided.
Tickets to this event include access to a live event with Tabitha and a copy of HELLO THERE, SUNSHINE (published by HarperCollins Children’s Books) We have a limit amount of 1000 books which will be given out free on the first come, first serve bases. Ticket does not guarantee book. Come early to see Tabitha Brown storytime and get a signed book.

Tabitha Brown is an Emmy Award–winning host, actress, and vegan food star who is affectionately known as “America’s mom.” She has provided millions with food for the body and soul with her everyday wisdom rooted in love, kindness, and compassion. She is also the author of New York Times bestsellers Feeding the Soul (Because It’s My Business), I Did A New Thing, and Cooking From the Spirit, along with Seen, Loved, and Heard: A Guided Journal for Feeding the Soul. Tabitha is the co-creator and host of her own children’s show, Tab Time, as well as the recipient of several NAACP Image Awards. She is also the co-founder and CEO of her own hair care line, Donna’s Recipe, and has product lines with Target and McCormick spices. Born and raised in Eden, North Carolina, she lives in Los Angeles with her family and dog.
