AAC with Alma & Me is an inclusive social group centered on connecting children and families who use
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) through adapted storytimes, group activities, and social connection. Our group was inspired by Alma, a sign language and AAC user, to build a community of AAC users, advocates, and allies.
• Open to all children, including those with or without developmental delays.
• AAC experience is not required to participate. All are welcome!
• AAC devices and low-tech core boards available at each storytime to explore.
This storytime our reader will be Whitney (Alma’s mom) who is a parent of an AAC user. Come chat and explore the AAC devices.
