About this Event
My storytelling walk in Jerusalem offers a unique and immersive experience that combines rich history, culture, and the power of storytelling. Jerusalem is a city with layers of history, and my storytelling walk will give attendees a chance to uncover the lesser-known tales, legends, and historical events that shaped the city. It's not just about the monuments and buildings - it's about the people and stories that breathe life into them.
We will start our storytelling journey on April 6, 09:30 AM, from the Tel Aviv's HaHagana train station and travel to Jerusalem together. The ones already in Jerusalem can join us at 10:15 at the Yitzhak Navon station.
Our public lecture and storytelling walk will be led by Lasha Shakulashvili (https://www.instagram.com/jewishstorytelling). Lasha was educated at Tel Aviv University; University of Oxford - School of Rare Jewish Languages; Paideia - The European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden; as well as Yad Vashem's International School for Holocaust Studies (ISHS). He has previously worked for the Permanent Mission of Georgia to the United Nations and holds the "Ambassador of Peace" award. In 2023, Lasha was awarded the British "Polonsky" Prize for creativity and originality in Jewish Studies. On December 8, 2023, The Jewish Council of Georgia awarded Lasha Shakulashvili for outstanding contributions to Georgian-Jewish relations.
