About this Event
Portraits should capture more than just how someone looks. They should show who that person is.
Join photographer Daezerae Gil for this After Hours session focused on creating portraits that feel natural, expressive, and full of personality.
During the presentation, Daezerae will share how connection, simple direction, and thoughtful prompts can help bring out your subject’s natural confidence in front of the camera.
After the presentation, we’ll move into a live demonstration and hands-on practice, where attendees will have the opportunity to try these techniques themselves while receiving guidance from Daezerae.
This session is ideal for photographers who want to move beyond basic posing and start creating portraits that feel more authentic and story-driven.
What to Expect:
- A presentation on portrait storytelling and subject direction
- A live demonstration with guided instruction
- Hands-on practice applying the techniques
- Opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from the instructor
What to Bring:
Attendees are encouraged to bring their camera if they’d like to participate during the hands-on portion.
