Storytelling Night Featuring Eshu Bumpus and Motoko

The fourth Tuesday of every month is storytelling night at Caffe Lena. Tonight's show will feature some of the finest storytellers from around the Capital Region who often serve as the featured artists for these monthly open mics.

Eshu Bumpus and Motoko, two nationally acclaimed tale spinners, join forces at Caffè Lena! Through personal narratives, world folktales, jazz and original songs, they offer a unique collaboration between cultures, entertaining music lovers and story connoisseurs alike. Eshu, a winner of the Storytelling World Award, specializes in tales from Africa and the Diaspora, leavened with humor and mystery. Motoko, the recipient of the National Storytelling Network’s Circle of Excellence Award, regales with her hilarious and poignant tales from Japan. Check www.folktales.net for more info.
