Special Storytelling for Children:EMILY JOOF reads from her books
Author Emily Joof visits the bookshop and reads for us from her books:
👑 ”Halima, Superhero Princess” – an energetic and empowering story about a young Black girl that overcomes self-doubt and embraces her unique superhero princess identity.
🌊 ”I Will Swim Next Time” – a wonderful book for any child who is feeling nervous about new experiences.

EMILY JOOF, born in 1984, has written several children’s books with themes of inclusion and diversity from an afro diasporan perspective.
Throughout her career, Joof has devoted herself and her work to children and young people from marginalized groups, and has had a prominent presence in the debate about inclusion in children’s literature here in Sweden.
Emily is also a multicultural mother of two young children who has inspired her writing. She has lived in five countries and speaks as many languages.
She loves thunderstorms and belly laughs.
