Learn the art of Storytelling with GreenMan Theatre!GreenMan will be offering a 3 session class in the art of storytelling starting August 7. The class will transition into a show called "Spooky Stories and Songs of the Season" at the end of the classroom work. Performances of "Spooky Stories" will be early in October. Students do not have to perform in the show to participate in the class; the director reserves the right to decide if each student is ready to perform.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, class sessions will be held online, outdoors, or a combination of the two. "Spooky Stories" will be presented online, and recorded outdoors as a live event, following all guidelines for audience and performer safety. For any in-person sessions, participants will need to be masked for safety.
The class meets for 3 Saturdays in August, the 7th, 14th, and 28nd, starting at 10:00 am for a two hour session each class. Makeup sessions may be scheduled due to student schedule conflicts. Cost is only $25 for GreenMan members and $30 for non-members.
Beginners and experienced tellers are welcome. A wide variety of story types will be explored, including traditional folk-tales, literary tales, personal stories, and urban legends.
