Storyteller Night

The cast you loved from our last storytelling show is reuniting with an all new program on Saturday, August 1st. It’ll be a hot night at Electric Lodge when Tracy, Carlos, Pattie, Wendy and Dan return to entertain you with true life tales. But this time we’re adding two critically acclaimed performers to the cast; Lisa Robins and Ty Fance. Like our last show in February, this will be an evening to remember. And like our last show, it’ll be sure to sell out. So grab a couple tickets and come join us!

Wendy Hammers: Author, playwright, comedian, and actress who’s appeared on more TV shows than we could list here. Also, founder of the storied Tasty Words program, now in its 25th season. Wendy shines the moment she appears, turns on her bottomless energy and speaks right from the heart.

Carlos Kotkin: Multi-time Moth story-slam winner, stand up comic, and author of Please God, Let it Be Herpes. With a title like that, what more do you need to know? On top of that, he’s a working screenwriter! A rare find in Los Angeles.

Pattie Fitzgerald: She was a top banana in comedy before quitting the biz to found a non-profit called Safely Ever After and raise a kid. She’s appeared on Good Morning America, Dateline, CNN and ABC World News to talk about her work keeping kids safe. But tonight she returns to her comic roots and has advised that her segment will definitely NOT be for children.

Tracy Newman: Founding member of the Groundlings, long time singer-songwriter and scribe behind the classic episode of the Ellen Degeneres show where Ellen came out. And more! Tracy’s words and music have kept audiences rippling with laughter everywhere she’s played.

Ty Fance: He has been selling out solo storytelling shows throughout the LA area for years. He’s been featured at the National Storytelling Conference and numerous fringe festivals throughout the country.

Lisa Robins: She is the critically acclaimed writer and performer of “Committed,” a one woman show about a thirty year odyssey detailing her relationship with a deeply troubled brother. The show has recently played multiple venues in New York and Los Angeles.

Dan Cohen reports that he’ll be happy not to make a fool of himself given the rest of the talent on the program. Host of this storyteller show and accomplished speaker & film-maker as well, he's excited to make his return to Electric Lodge.
