StorySLAM er tilbake! I år igjen slår vi oss sammen med EUNIC og de europeiske ambassadene, og lager en internasjonal StorySLAM-kveld du sent vil glemme!
StorySLAM er en live fortellerkonkurranse, der fortelleren har åtte minutter til å fortelle en sann, selvopplevd historie for et publikum. Det er ikke lov med notater, historien skal fortelles, ikke leses opp. Fortelleren får poeng for fremførelse og innhold av én fagjury og to tilfeldig valgte publikumsjuryer. Den som står igjen med flest poeng når alle har fortalt er kveldens vinner.
Kveldens arrangement foregår på engelsk, og temaet er: “Lost in translation”. Europa rommer hundrevis av språk – og enda flere historier 🌍Vi møter dette hver dag: når vi snakker flere språk, lærer noe nytt, jobber internasjonalt eller ser serier på originalspråket.
Men hva skjer egentlig når vi beveger oss mellom språk? Endrer det hvem vi er – og hva vi oppdager i møte med andre? Og kan det oppstå situasjoner som får oss i trøbbel, fører oss til nye oppdagelser, eller lærer oss noe nytt? Kveldens fortellinger vil gi svar på disse spørsmålene!
Som en del av Europadagen 9. mai, som setter søkelys på fred og europeisk enhet, samarbeider EUNIC Norge (European Union National Institutes for Culture) med StorySLAM Oslo for å gi deg en spesiell, internasjonal utgave av fortellerkonkurransen.

StorySLAM is back! Once again, we’re teaming up with EUNIC and the European embassies to bring you an international StorySLAM evening you won’t forget!
StorySLAM is a live storytelling competition where each storyteller has eight minutes to share a true, personal story with the audience. Notes are not allowed—the story must be told, not read. Performances are scored on both delivery and content by one professional jury and two randomly selected audience juries. The storyteller with the highest total score at the end of the night is the winner.
Tonight’s event will be held in English, and the theme is: “Lost in translation.”
Europe is home to hundreds of languages—and even more stories 🌍 We encounter this every day: when we speak multiple languages, learn something new, work internationally, or watch our favorite shows in their original language.
But what really happens when we move between languages? Does it change who we are—and what we discover in others? Can it lead us into trouble, unexpected discoveries, or teach us something new? Tonight’s stories will explore these questions!
As part of Europe Day on May 9—celebrating peace and unity in Europe—EUNIC Norway (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is collaborating with StorySLAM Oslo to bring you a special international edition of the competition.
