Storybuilding for Founders + How to Hear More "YES!" in Your Pitches

FounderUp and 1871 invite you to attend this immersive workshop to help Founders:

- Build an engaging, persuasive story to use in investor and customer pitches

AND

- Hear more "YES" in investor and customer pitches.

We'll combine group instruction and small group practice to turn your vision and progress into an engaging story hooking the audience, holding attention, and conveying an impactful message to customers and investors. When you are comfortable with your tight, impactful story, you're more confident in the delivery—and see better results.

The afternoon session teaches Founders multiple ways to presenting your complete business vision (from shorter-forms such as executive summaries to longer-form full pitch decks) and how to decide which forms to use to secure a “yes” from the audience. You'll use these tips and tools in your next sales or investment pitch to hear more "YES!".

JC Garrett

JC is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer for FarShore and is the primary startup mentor for its investment and advisory arm, Dashfire. He started with FarShore in its early stages over 10 years ago and has worked closely with hundreds of startups to be a strategic leader in their tech and business planning processes. Before joining FarShore/Dashfire and after completing his MBA with dual concentrations in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing, he joined a B2B SaaS startup overseeing Strategy, Marketing and Operations while advising dozens of startups to help them successfully plan and capitalize their ventures. He also currently serves as a coach for several startup accelerators/incubators.

Dan Manning

Dan is the Chief Story Architect and Founder of Build The Story where he helps Founders, coaches, and consultants create short, impactful stories to sell themselves and their business. In 2022, he helped clients sell businesses, products, and services with the 133 stories he built. He's also a TechStars mentor and the author of Thinking Better—Critical Thinking and Creativity Through Trusting Collaboration.
