Synopsis:
Beware … just off the Australian coast, a great white shark is on the prowl! Luckily, the local sea creatures have a cunning collection of real-life camouflage techniques at their disposal, from an ink-releasing cuttlefish to a burrowing flounder. All except for a poor little puffer fish, whose favorite hiding places are taken. But as it turns out, puffer has a slick trick to avoid becoming a snack, and the hungry shark soon learns that even big guys need to watch their tails.
HIDE, FISH, HIDE! is a rhyming and fact-filled fish tale with kid-friendly suspense and a whale of a twist.

Derick Wilder is an author, educator, Dad, and founder of FitLit Kids, whose mission is to provide educational programs that focus on fitness and literacy. He has a passion for nature, writing, coaching soccer, playing kickball, and telling especially bad dad jokes.
HIDE, FISH, HIDE! is his fourth picture book, and, as an educator, he’s particularly excited about it, as this is his first informational fiction title. Derick’s previous works include THE LONGEST LETSGOBOY—a Margaret Wise Brown Honor book that was recently named to Kirkus’s Best Books of the 21st Century—and the humor-filled companion rhymers, DOES A BULLDOZER HAVE A BUTT? and I MADE THESE ANTS SOME UNDERPANTS!
Derick grew up swimming in the Florida surf, so has a long history with the ocean, but now lives in land-locked Fort Mill, SC, with his teen, a Siberian husky, and an assortment of furry and scaly family members.
