Greenlight is thrilled to welcome Brooklyn author Sascha Alper and Caldecott Medal-winning illustrator Brian Pinkney to Greenlight to present their new picture book The Littlest Drop, at a special story time just in time for Earth Month! When a fire starts near their home, all of the animals—from the largest elephant to the smallest ant—are too scared to do anything but watch. All, that is, except for one tiny hummingbird. She knows she must do something to save her nest. She must do what she can. This simple, poignant fable—featuring illustrations originally created by Caldecott medalist Jerry Pinkney, completed by Brian, his son—reminds us that we all have the power to change the world, no matter how little we may be. Join us for a reading, earth-themed craft activities, and special story time snacks.
