“Please Stare at Me and Hang on My Every Word” A Storytelling EventThis storytelling event is more of an experience. Some might even call it a play. It is a piece of theatre, though not a
structured narrative. Each time it is performed the separate vignettes are in a different order; it is a work in progress.
It's based on a recurring dream that Brandon had as a child and it was inspired by the Song of Solomon and the book
of Ecclesiastes. However, it is not a retelling of those texts. Brandon says, “I travel through time, story by story, in
some tales fictional and some semi-autobiographical, exploring and seeking to be seen and valued, the place where
aspirations fade in disappointment, and finding the courage to love again.”
So come and escape reality for an evening, where you are sure to experience an adventurous fun-filled event this
Wednesday, March 4th at 7 pm in the Chapel. This event is FREE and everyone is welcome!
Brandon Burrell is one of our hometown natives from right here in Fort Worth, but he has lived in other
states and traveled. His adventures and experience are weaved into his work. In the past he worked as an
actor and performed for five years at Trinity Shakespeare Festival. In March of 2021 he founded “Lazarus
Stage Works” where he continues to grow and explore life’s possibilities from the stage.
