This event takes place in the Creativity Hub by the main reception of IMMA.
Have you ever wondered what makes a great story? Join award-winning author, E.R. Murray, and become your own Story Detective! Explore the secrets behind creating memorable characters, mind-blowing settings, and edge-of-your-seat plots. Investigate a series of clues to create your own exciting mystery that jumps off the page. Elizabeth will also read from her latest book, Arabella Pepper, The Wild Detective (Natural World Publishing) and answer your questions, even the tricky ones, about what it’s like to be a writer.
Age: 8 - 12 yrs
This is a free event. Alternatively, by choosing a donation ticket to any amount, you would be contributing towards keeping DBF events accessible for all.

E.R. Murray writes novels, short stories, and poetry for children and young adults. Her novels include Arabella Pepper - The Wild Detective (Natural World Publishing), which features beautiful illustrations by Monika Pollak, and the award-winning Nine Lives Trilogy (Mercier Press); The Book of Learning (Dublin UNESCO Citywide Read 2016) The Book of Shadows (shortlisted Irish Literacy Association/Irish Book Awards) and The Book of Revenge. Elizabeth also contributed to our 'Wild Wonders, an anthology of short nature stories for children'. Elizabeth lives in West Cork where she fishes, grows her own vegetables, and goes on plenty of outdoor adventures.
