?? Story & STEM at Heritage Village – Schoolhouse Storytime with a TwistStep into the Schoolhouse for a storytime like no other! We’ll begin with Linda Smock's newest book, Betsy the Brazilian Bat, read by our Curator of Education, Ms. Hannah. This story is interactive, educational, and full of hide-and-seek fun — and Betsy is absolutely adorable!
After the story, enjoy a mini-lesson on fractals and explore our Fractals Immersion Exhibit with VR headsets. You’ll also get to try hands-on activities like soap painting and other themed crafts inspired by Betsy’s adventure.
This program is designed for ages 4–10, but it’s truly an all-ages experience. Younger kids will love the story and playful activities, while older children (and adults!) can dive deeper into the science and creativity behind the lesson.
Story & STEM sparks curiosity, problem-solving, and imagination — all in a beautiful historic setting. Whether you love building, experimenting, or just listening to a great story, there’s something here for everyone!
