Join curious people connecting with stories and artefacts from Dudley's past, present and future to co-create flourishing futures.
Are you a curious thinker / doer / maker with a change-making spirit? You are welcome to become a Stories of Place Co-creator! Join other curious people from across the Black Country every month to connect with stories and artefacts from Dudley’s past, present and future and co-create flourishing futures. Together, we:
-Connect with Dudley and nature
-Uncover the unnoticed
-Re/discover something each time
-Have inspiring conversations and learn from each other
-Imagine different futures
-Create the unexpected
-Unlock pathways to potential futures
Stories of Place is a space to imagine, be inspired, take action together with collective support. It is a safe space for people to test and evolve ideas together that bring us closer to Dudley, nature, climate action, and flourishing futures.
Join us on the first Wednesday of every month at 201a High Street in Dudley (opposite the big red Bostin sign) or online. Sessions are always free. Each session will be different and will evolve with our collective ideas and action, but there will always be an option for you to join a guided activity or have time to experiment with your ideas.
You don’t have to come to every session. We all have different commitments and our energy changes throughout the year. If you make one session and can’t return for a few months, you will always be welcome and won’t feel left behind.
Stories of Place is part of the Dudley People's School for Climate Justice and a research project called 'Co-creating Flourishing Futures'.
Stories of Place is led by Holly Doron from CoLab Dudley , although some sessions will be led by other Stories of Place Co-creators.
We want to make Stories of Place as inclusive and accessible as possible so please let Holly know how you can be made to feel welcome. Unfortunately, our space on the High Street only has a toilet accessible by stairs. However, if this would make it difficult for you to join in, please let Holly know and they will do their best to find another venue.
