Storytelling competition with 6 contestants registered before 8/15 with networking before and after....About this Event
Hola ALPFAmilia,
Our community is hurting across the nation. Through it all, our voices have not been silenced. We hear our cries echo through our streets as we march for those we love.
The news we see coming through daily stirs something inside of us that fuels our desire to share our stories of what it is actually like to be Latino, to be an immigrant, to be a mother, father, daughter, son, friend, and neighbor.
Stories of ALPFA is an opportunity to share your story as we prepare a night of Paying Tribute. A tribute to our parents, our heritage, our city, a friend, a boss, of whatever ignites your desire to get up and speak.
We are selecting 6 speakers to tell their stories. Judges will score after each story and the winner will have the potential to speak at our next ALPFA convention and a cash prize.
There will be networking before and after to have a chance to catch up with your ALPFA network and to talk with the speakers afterwards.
Drink tickets must be purchased via Eventbrite. There will be a basic drink ticket for beer and wine and a VIP drink ticket that will include tastings for tequila and mezcal in honor of the night of Paying Tribute.
All are welcome to hear our stories be told. We hope to see you there!
