Join us in celebrating Belinda Smith-Sullivan's newest book at the Bookmarks Bookstore on Thursday, March 27 at 6:30 pm! Cocktails, Southern Style features both new and classic recipes perfect for hosting any occasion. Belinda Smith-Sullivan will be in conversation with bestselling author Charlie Lovett, and there will be a book signing to follow.
Tickets are $5 (plus taxes & fees) and include admission to the event as well as food and drink samples. Attendees may purchase a copy of the book with registration, and copies will also be for sale at the event.

Along with information about the structure of a cocktail, techniques, and equipment, you will find instructions for making infused vodkas and simple syrups for use in mixing drinks. There are recipes for celebrations; brunch; afternoons on the porch; classic martinis; happy hour; spritzes, smashes, and farts; beer-based drinks; wine-based drinks; traditional cocktails; and mocktails and nonalcoholic beverages. About the Author
Belinda Smith-Sullivan is a chef, food writer, spice blends entrepreneur, and a commercially rated pilot. She has a culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales University, and writes a monthly column for South Carolina Living. She also is featured on South Carolina Living’s website with monthly how-to videos. Smith-Sullivan is an active member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, International Association of Culinary Professionals, American Culinary Federation, and Les Dames d’Escoffier. She lives in Winston-Salem, NC.
About the Conversation Partner
Charlie Lovett is the New York Times bestselling author of four previous novels, including The Bookman’s Tale and Escaping Dreamland. His academic writings include Lewis Carroll: Formed by Faith and for children he has written The Book of the Seven Spells and twenty plays that have been seen in over five thousand productions worldwide. A former antiquarian bookseller and avid book collector, he and his wife, Janice, live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and (when the pandemic allows) in the village of Kingham in England.
