About this Event

Every third Saturday of the month, TMORA hosts a free family activity in the Fireside Gallery. Join us to hear a story by a Russian author and/or related to art and culture of the region, learn about artworks, and create a take-home art project of your own. Afterwards, explore the museum with an interactive gallery hunt. Advance registration is requested.

Saturday, October 19 | 10:30 – 11:30 AM

  • Recommended for ages 4-8, but all are welcome!
  • FREE | Pre-registration for children is requested. *Each story time session will be limited to 15 children to ensure there are enough art supplies for all.

  • There is free parking across the street (Diamond Lake Road) in the Mayflower Church parking lot.

Featured Book: Sasha's Matrioshka Dolls by Jana Dillon, illustrated by Deborah Nourse Lattimore.

Sasha lives in Moscow with her grandfather, a boxmaker. When Sasha's rag doll is destroyed by mice, her grandfather sets out to make her a doll that can hold up against trouble from mice, rats, cats, and even the Tsar's cavalry! Join us for a sweet story about imagination, creativity, and family.
