Stories & Crafts in the Gallery: January

Every third Saturday of the month, TMORA hosts a free family activity in the Robert J. Brokop Gallery. Join us to hear a story by a Russian author and/or related to art and culture of the region, learn about artworks, and create a take-home art project of your own. Afterwards, explore the museum with an interactive gallery hunt. Advance registration is requested.

Saturday, January 18 | 10:30 – 11:30 AM

• Recommended for ages 4-8, but all are welcome!
• FREE | Pre-registration for children is requested. *Each story time session will be limited to 15 children to ensure there are enough art supplies for all.
• Free admission, but donations are accepted. Pay what you wish!
• There is free parking across the street (Diamond Lake Road) in the Mayflower Church parking lot.

Featured Book: All the Faces of Me, by Laura Alary, illustrated by Salini Perera

For the exhibition A Thousand Nesting Dolls, we're exploring new tales about the famous Russian handicraft, like this sweet story about honoring and acknowledging our emotions. A little girl admires her Nana's set of nesting dolls, but it bothers her that they all look exactly alike. After all, she has many different faces and feelings inside of her, so the dolls should too.... right?!
