Stories and Schmear (Bubbies & Zaidies Edition)

We’re opening our doors for a special morning of stories, smiles, and sprinkles! We are so excited to invite you and your little ones (ages 0–5) into our rear dining room—the space many of you already know and love as our favourite "kid-friendly" corner—for a brand-new community event: Stories & Schmear. We’ve teamed up with our friends at Smartiepants and PJ Library to create a morning that’s all about the kids, great food, and making memories together.

Once you’re settled in (doors open at 8:30, event starts at 9:00), the team from Smartiepants will take the lead with an interactive, high-energy read-aloud of a beloved PJ Library book and sing-along. We’ve designed this to be a cozy, engaging experience right here in the heart of our restaurant.

We’re cooking up a breakfast spread the whole family will enjoy:

• For the Kids: Our kitchen is whipping up fluffy pancakes, creamy mac & cheese, grilled cheese, and scrambled eggs.
• Our Classics: We’ll have plenty of fresh bagels and cream cheese and fresh cut vegetables on the tables, along with Latkes, Lox, Tuna, Mac & Cheese, and lots of Schmear.
• A Sweet Finish: It wouldn’t be a party without our mini sprinkle and chocolate chip cookies for dessert!
• For the Grown-ups: While the focus is on the kids, we’ll make sure the hot coffee and tea keep flowing at your table all morning.

We want you to take a piece of the morning home with you! Every family will leave with a special PJ Library gift bag, curated with books and treats tailored specifically for children ages 0–5.

To make sure every family has a comfortable spot to sit and eat, we are selling tickets by Table Size.

• Registration is per table. * Each table includes one (1) PJ Library Gift Bag.
• Please note: Every table must include at least one adult.

Space in our rear dining room is limited! We have the following tables available:

• 9 Tables: For parties of 2
• 2 Tables: For parties of up to 4
• 6 Tables: For parties of up to 5

Capture the Moment! 📸 We are excited to have a photographer, Max Bacher, joining us on April 19th to capture the magic of Stories and Schmear. These photos will be used for our promotional materials and will be shared with all attendees after the event.

Note for Parents & Guests: By registering, you consent to photography of yourself and any minors in your party. If you or your children prefer not to be photographed, please simply let Max know when you arrive, and we will ensure you stay off-camera.
