KID KATHARSIS
With just a guitar and some vocals, Kid Katharsis experiments with a stripped-down approach to acoustic folk, interweaving dark-wave pop and the grungier side of RnB. A chilling unique Mancunian voice of the southern asian diaspora, who has collaborated and works with Chimpo, Kuumba Collective, Roots Raddix and more!
ZOLA STEELPAN
Born in Leicester, Zola is an experienced steel drummer.Zola connected with the steelpan scene aged 6 at the African Caribbean Centre in Highfields. Aged 15, she joined Contrast Steel Band and went onto play London Notting Hill Carnival & National Panorama Competitions (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, & 2023) uniting with Real Steel and Metronomes Steel Band. After moving to Manchester in 2021 to pursue a career in merchandising, she realised her true calling was to be a professional creative. In 2023, busking allowed her the exposure to leave the commercial fashion industry and start a solo career. Zola hopes to bring the steelpan to light as a cover act and session musician, showcasing the instrument’s bright & colourful resonance.
CONTOURS

Contours is the project of musician, producer and DJ Tom Burford. Born in Cumbria and based in Manchester, Contours’ sound explores the spaces, rhythms and textures that sit between House, Jazz, Afro-Beat, Electronica and Hip Hop. Having been exposed to an eclectic range of music from an early age, Contours DJ sets traverse a litany of sounds and influences. BACKGROUND
This event will bring together the local community to celebrate some special local artists and spread love and informed decision making during this election time.
“The StopTheHate campaign has managed to assemble a coalition of activists and campaign groups who have never worked together before including XR London, Just Stop Oil, Stand Up to Racism, Fossil Free Pride, Jewish Socialist Group, Peace & Justice Project, Homes for All, Strike Solidarity, PCS, multiple Trade Unionist and many more. We feel that by bringing all of our campaigns together we are able to demonstrate our message clearly, #UnityNotDivison. It is vital that we sing this loud and clear throughout the general election. The StopTheHate campaign is putting on a non-partisan tour around Britain, during the election, to celebrate diversity and oppose racism being peddled in the election campaign from any quarters. The tour will utilise music to promote unity and cultural awareness admits a climate of divisive rhetoric”
