Stop the Bleed® Certification Training
Presented in partnership with Grady Health System's Teen Experience and Leadership Program (TELP)
As part of our growing Career Connected Learning partnership with Grady Health System, AIM scholars are invited to participate in Stop the Bleed®, a nationally recognized certification program offered in collaboration with Grady's Teen Experience and Leadership Program (TELP) and trauma care experts.
This hands-on training teaches participants how to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding emergencies. Through practical demonstrations and guided instruction, students will learn critical bleeding-control techniques that can help save lives before first responders arrive. Whether responding to an accident, injury, or unexpected emergency, these skills empower participants to take action when every second counts.

🔹 How to respond during a bleeding emergency
🔹 Proper wound-packing techniques
🔹 How and when to apply a tourniquet
🔹 Strategies for providing immediate care until professional help arrives
Training Details
📅 Date: June 30, 2026
🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
👥 Capacity: Limited to 25 students (Rising Enrolled 9th Graders)
📍 Location: Grady Memorial Hospital
Please note: ReAnna Tran will email all registered families detailed drop-off and pick-up instructions before June 30. Families should refer to that communication for final arrival and dismissal logistics.
Arrival & Pick-Up Information
Students should be dropped off at the Grady Main Hospital Entrance, where they will be met by AIM x Grady Program Manager ReAnna Tran and members of the Grady Teen Experience and Leadership Program (TELP) team.
We are asking all scholars to arrive 10 minutes early for check-in.
Students should wear their AIM Career Connected Learning (CCL) T-shirt.
If your scholar does not have a CCL shirt, please email Davina Ranzy at [email protected] with their T-shirt size, and we will make sure to bring one for them.
Parents should plan to pick up scholars promptly following the conclusion of the training. Pick-up should occur no later than 12:10 PM.
Important Information
🔹 This training is offered through AIM's partnership with Grady Health System and the Teen Experience and Leadership Program (TELP).
🔹 This training includes hands-on participation.
🔹 Space is limited and registration is required.
🔹 Participants who successfully complete the training will receive an official Stop the Bleed® Certificate.
🔹 Scholars should arrive ready to participate and engage in all training activities.
We look forward to helping students build confidence, leadership skills, and emergency preparedness while providing another opportunity for our scholars to engage with healthcare professionals through our partnership with Grady Health System and TELP.
