In a history making vote, the UN has passed a resolution demanding that Israel ends its illegal occupation of Palestine in the next 12 months. This comes after the ICJ's damning ruling on Israel, and a minute suspension of arms licences from our own govermne. We say this doesn't go nearly as far enough in accountability nor IMMEDIATE action, especially with Israel's horrific attacks in Lebanon escalating at an alarming rate with civillians being killed daily, whilst Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank continue to be starved and slaughtered. We are calling for a full two way arms embargo and the immediate imposition of sanctions onto the zionist terror state.
Join us for a march and rally as we near one year of all-out genocide on the Palestinian people. Assemble 12.30pm at the Civic centre, and we'll march at 1pm to Grey's Monument for a rally. Be prepared to hear from local activists, Palestinian voices, trade unionists, academics and more. BE LOUD - BRING DRUMS, WHISTLES, INSTRUMENTS AND YOUR VOICES, a flag, a keffiyeh or your watermelon-themed items, placards holding our leaders to account and reminding us of our martyrs.
