Tap the kegs and open the gates—it's summer time. We invited our buddies from Stonefolk to kick off the summer concert series in the Bellaire Beer Garden. Joe will be tapping some of our favorite bevs and the food truck will be open and slinging snacks all weekend.

Emerging from the backroads and waterways of Lower-Northwestern Michigan, StoneFolk is an all Americana Folk-Rock/Trucker Funk band whose sonic journey began in April 2019 when singer/songwriter Aaron Dye and bassist/sousaphonist Kevin LaRose joined forces. Later, in 2021, the band expanded its signature sound with the addition of drummer/Crooner Skylar Mclain. Their unique combination of swooning vocals, energetic sousaphone marches, and powerful tight-knit beats culminate in their musical expertise. StoneFolk is inspired by various influences from outlaw-trucker/funk to indie-rock/jazz and R&B, drawn from legendary bands such as Little Feat, Gram Parsons and the Fallen Angels, The Wood Brothers, and The Meters. The result of this dynamic combination is a perfectly crafted sound of their own, sure to captivate audiences.
